Welcome to the 5th Annual Cold Kahuna!

The Cold Kahuna is an annual charity event where a collection of absolute lunatics ride small bikes (up to 125cc) from all corners of New Zealand to the alpine winter playground of Ohakune.

No matter where you start, the mission is the same — survive the ride, make questionable decisions around a fire drum, freeze in a tent overnight, and somehow ride home again the next day with a grin on your face and frost in places frost should never be.

Expect:

• Small bikes battling big weather

• Fire drums, food trucks and frozen fingers

• A proper knees-up under the marquees

• Dirt track chaos and terrible ideas

• New mates, old bikes and legendary yarns

This year we are riding for ourselves - a little bit of fun to refresh the mind and soul!!! NO fundraising required. 

So dust off the old bike, round up your crew, throw on your winter woollies and join us for the 5th Annual Cold Kahuna.

It’s going to be very cool. Literally.

Important Stuff You Need To Know

• It’s going to be bloody cold!!!

• Ride from anywhere in New Zealand

• Bikes must be 125cc or under

• You’ll be camping overnight in tents… in winter… in Ohakune

• Fire drums will help keep you alive-ish

• Food trucks & BBQ will be available for feeds

• Madd Fun Hire are supplying marquees for shelter and good times. YOU have to supply your own tent! 

• The event is licensed — strictly NO BYO

• You’ll score a legendary Bacon & Egg butty breakfast as part of your entry

• Support crews and supporters are welcome

• Seriously… it’s going to be bloody cold
