ABOUT THE EVENT

Welcome to the 4th annual Cold Kahuna!
The Cold Kahuna is an annual charity event where participants ride a small bike (125cc or less) from anywhere in the country to the alpine winter wonderland of Ohakune.
Have a blast around our dirt track, have a few beersies, grab some dinner from the food truck, camp in the freezing cold for the night and then ride back home again the next day… Yep sounds like a bloody good time to us too!
This year we are raising funds for Testicular Cancer New Zealand & The Jolly Good Chaps Charitable Trust.
We have some great prizes lined up for those of you who raise the most money, so please get out there and shake the can for this years charities!
100% of the funds you raise go to our charities which is pretty damn cool!
So dust off the old scoot, get some mates together, put your winter woolies on and join us for the 3rd Annual Cold Kahuna, it’ll be very cool.
- Ride from anywhere in New Zealand
- You'll be camping in tents overnight, and did we mention it will be bloody cold!!!
- There will be a food truck & BBQ to buy food from
- Fire drums will help keep you warm
- The good buggers at Madd Fun Hire are supplying us with some marques to hang out in
- The event is licensed and there is NO BYO.
- You'll get a flash as Bacon & Egg butty for breakfast as part of your entry fee
- Did I mention it will be bloody cold?

Jolly Good Chaps Charitable Trust
Jolly Good Chaps Charitable Trust are a small group of Hawke’s Bay lads focused on raising lots of money for local community groups, projects and causes while having a jolly good time along the way.
Testicular Cancer NZ
Testicular cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in New Zealand teens and young men, typically between the ages of 15 and 44 but can occur at any age.
On average, more than 170 men are diagnosed with testicular cancer each year and around 8 will die from the disease.
Because it occurs mostly in younger men, testicular cancer casts a long shadow especially with the potential impact on fertility.
The good news is that testicular cancer is very treatable when caught early. This is one we can beat!!!

How Do I Enter?
Find the 'Enter Here' button and you are away!
You'll need to follow the steps and register an account, this becomes your own personal fundraising page. Next you can join a team, or create a team others can join or go solo.Â
Once you're set up, share the pants off your fundraising page. Your only focus in life now is to raise money for our charities and get amongst it during the charity ride.Â
Can We Enter As A Team?
YEP, sure can.
All participants must enter individually and set up their own individual fundraising page.
You can then start a team yourself or join an already established crew. But if you're in this alone, its ok, you can ride solo - we're not judgy.
What Route Do We Take?
This depends on where you live!! Get togther with a few mates, grab a support crew and ride from anywhere in New Zealand to our party paddock in Ohakune!!!
