I am fundraising for Jolly Good Chaps - Napier to Wellington 50cc Scooter Charity Challenge

The Grand Annual Jolly Good Chaps Napier to Wellington 50cc Scooter Charity Challenge is a somewhat torturous charity event where participants ride a 50cc scooter from Mitre 10 Mega Napier  carpark in Napier to the Wellington CBD.

It’s all about raising as much money as we can for local Hawkes Bay charities and yes, 100% of the funds we raise go to our chosen charities.

Hey Everyone!
This year on the 7th of March I will be paticipating in the annual Jolly Good Chaps Napier to Wellington Scooter Challenge. 
This event is where 300+ people ride their 50cc Scooters from Napier all the way down to Wellington to raise funds for the Hawkesbay. 

My why: the reason I do this challenge every year is to share my story and spread awareness. 
Some of you already know that at the end of 2006 I had a car accident. While I wasnt seriously physically injured, my car was written off and there was a long wait before I could get another one. During that time I developed a severe phobia of driving. In the early days I couldn't even be a passenger in a car! 
I tried to overcome this fear on my own and made some small progress but I couldn't completely beat it and by the time i moved to the CHB in 2023 I wasnt driving at all. 
In 2022 I finally sought help through my GP and she got me set up to work with a psychologist when I arrived in the CHB. I spent 9 months re-learning to drive without having debilitating panic attacks. Those skills I learnt meant i had the confidence to learn to ride my scooter just 3 days before attempting my first Napier to Wellington Scooter Challenge in 2024. 

Im doing it again, for the 3rd time, and if you are able I would really appreciate if you could donate to our cause.

100% of the funds raised through this crazy adventure go back into the Hawkesbay which is pretty awesome!!!
