I am fundraising for Jolly Good Chaps - Napier to Wellington 50cc Scooter Charity Challenge

The Grand Annual Jolly Good Chaps Napier to Wellington 50cc Scooter Charity Challenge is a somewhat torturous charity event where participants ride a 50cc scooter from Mitre 10 Mega Napier  carpark in Napier to the Wellington CBD.

It’s all about raising as much money as we can for local Hawkes Bay charities and yes, 100% of the funds we raise go to our chosen charities.

Thursday 22nd Jan
After towing a large ute and trailer through the back streets of Karori and Wadestown, (only a couple of meltdowns and then an overnight catch up with friends) we arrive back in Waipukurau shattered and looking forward to a nap. But we were too excited and took them out for a spin.  Tyres needed for Vicky the vespa and some dicky things going on with the ignition on the black stallion but we are committed now!

I've gone scooter mad.  I've taken up the challenge to ride 330ks from Napier to Wellington on a 50cc scooter. I've also convinced a couple of mates to do it with me. They say it'll take 7-8 hours. I say, I'll be amazed if I get to the start line!
