I am fundraising for Jolly Good Chaps - Napier to Wellington 50cc Scooter Charity Challenge

The Grand Annual Jolly Good Chaps Napier to Wellington 50cc Scooter Charity Challenge is a somewhat torturous charity event where participants ride a 50cc scooter from Mitre 10 Mega Napier  carpark in Napier to the Wellington CBD.

It’s all about raising as much money as we can for local Hawkes Bay charities and yes, 100% of the funds we raise go to our chosen charities.

Please support me by donating today. Every dollar counts!

Napier to Wellington Scooter Challenge – Supporting Jolly Good Chaps

Friday 26th Dec

I’m taking part in the Napier to Wellington Jolly Good Chaps Scooter Challenge, a one-day charity ride raising funds for the Jolly Good Chaps Charitable Trust. I am doing this with my MTG Hawke’s Bay colleague TeHira Henderson.

Jolly Good Chaps is a Hawke’s Bay–based charity that raises money for local community causes, with a strong focus on men’s mental health, youth development, and practical grassroots support. Funds raised through their events are distributed to community organisations across the region that are making a real difference on the ground.

The Scooter Challenge involves riding a 50cc scooter from Napier to Wellington, a distance of around 320 kilometres, all in a single day. Riders leave before dawn and travel through the lower North Island, including hill country and the Rimutaka Range, finishing on the Wellington waterfront. The scooters are deliberately small and slow — the challenge is endurance, patience, and commitment rather than speed.

I’m doing this to help raise funds so Jolly Good Chaps can continue supporting Hawkes Bay projects focused on men’s mental health and at risk youth.

You can support the challenge baking a donation now. Every contribution goes directly to Jolly Good Chaps and the community causes they support.

Thank you for the support.
